Who am I ?
My name is Jigme Tenzin and I was born in Eastern Tibet (Amdo) in 1968. I have five
brothers and one sister. My family work as arable farmers. I am the sixth member of my
family.
I left Tibet in 1989 with a monk. We crossed the Himalayas into Nepal with the aid
of a guide. It took us seven days before we reached the reception center in Katmandu.
I have been in exile in India ever since with no opportunity of meeting my family again without
a sea change in the politics of occupied Tibet.
