Primary objective
We preserve Tibetan culture and provide learning opportunities for the most marginalised members of our community in a resourceful and coherent learning framework. All students will sense success in their studies and have their achievements recognized by the centre in order to promote further learning and to raise their sense of self worth.
Success indicators:

Well-structured schemes of work developed and used.

Visual and audio resources developed and used effectively.

Beginning and end of module assessments to map progress across the module of study.

Ranking and grading of achievement in a creditable manner, reflecting the progress made by each student and identifying the most and least successful students.

Awarding of certificates by the Centre in recognition of these achievements.
Supporting Objectives

To introduce inclusive structures that are both necessary to support teaching and learning while accommodating the particular circumstances of individual students.
Success indicators:

Evidence of students being advised on how to learn English well and encouraged to attend lessons and submit assignments

Clear strategies to encourage students to read and write. Students perceive the guidelines to be helpful and fair, encouraging them to learn more and are sensitive to their circumstances.

To be aware of the inhibitions of the most disadvantaged and to act in an inclusive manner in order to promote the value of learning and self-improvement.
Success indicators:

Outreach network of volunteers that reach those prevented from
attending due to work commitments, etc.

To choose and write appropriate materials that are gender and
culturally sensitive and are set in a familiar context.

To use every opportunity to cherish the dignity of our students and promote values of mutual respect and equality. To celebrate their unique identity as Tibetans and to respect their values in all aspects of our teachings and daily interactions with students.
Success indicators:

Plan and instigate activities that encourage participation by all students and allows the contributors to feel valued and respected by their peers.

To regularly help students to discuss and write about their own culture and to share their work with others.

To be financially accountable and to show that the centre is good value for money.
Success indicators:

Daily registers of attendance and totaling of the amount of hours of English.

Accurate costing of expenditure under consumables, maintenance and capital headings. Contingence to ensure that the centre has a sustainable future.

Accurate logging of students' results to show progress.

Accounts audited by an independent agent, both within the Tibetan and Indian governments.
